Kelli Shermeyer

Kelli Shermeyer is a writer and strategist with fifteen years of experience across the higher education and nonprofit sectors. She joined CIMA in 2024, where she now helps organizations build their development operations, diversify revenue, strengthen their core programs, and plan multi-year campaigns. Throughout her career, Kelli has focused on creating strong infrastructure for creative problem-solving and collaboration between individuals, organizations, and communities. She’s especially passionate about supporting mission-driven organizations engaged in building more connected, resilient, and creative communities, as well as those working toward environmental justice.

Prior to CIMA, Kelli led institutional fundraising at the Wilma Theater and held roles at the University of Delaware and the University of Oklahoma. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Virginia, where her research focused on the intersection of contemporary theater and environmentalism, and a B.A. in English from the University of Delaware.
